Sailing Boracay

We hired a skipper and a trimaran for a while and went snorkelling out in the reefs near white beach. This is the life; hanging off the edge of a trimaran, the sea spraying up in your face and then diving off to play with tropical fish.

I've never had the fun of sailing on a trimaran. I was surprised at how fast they can go compared to a mono hull. Close-hauled, Gullwinged, this thing just flew no matter where the wind was coming from. It would lurch forward with a gust and almost dip the bow into the sea, before coming out again and flying along like a giant gull.

Because it is a multi-hull, it was more stable and didn't give Nic sea-sickness like monohulls do. There is hope yet for that dream toy. Now, if only I can work out a way of getting a motorcycle onto one, then this is going to be one happy Marky...
