Lake Baikal

One of the highlights of the trip is coming to Lake Baikal. A fifth of the world's fresh water in one lake - impressive. The area is clean and conserved well - better than in Britain and some areas of my native New Zealand.







Although, some Russian industry still happens here. People need power I guess...



It was wonderful to stay in the small village of Listvyanka. We had our own little wooden hut to stay in and the people here were lovely (contrary to my previous moaning).

I have been following yuor adventures (and telling everyone at Forbo) it has all sounded so wonderful, not really jealous ... honest :)
