Russia to Mongolia

It was time to say 'da svedanya' to Mother Russia. We will miss your terrible food, rubbish service, dirty rooms, run-down buildings, lazy cleaners and impoliteness. Actually, we won't.

Most of what we saw was akin to some of the second or third world countries we've been to; sometimes worse. But Russia still insists on charging for it like it is providing first world comforts. Russia is an anachronism in a modern world.

It isn't all cabbage and grunts though. The country is beautiful and magnificent. The Russian's can also show kindness and warmth if you get past their surly veil. We will have to return with some Russian under our belt and try again in the future.

Hello Mongolia!
